Silent Treatment

For silence has become my friend

It doesn’t judge it just listens

No arguments or reprisals

Just there while I rant

I pour my heart with tears

Silence is there to hear me cry

No shame because silence will not care

Silence will not tell anyone that they saw me at my lowest

They won’t get mad that I’m showing this side of me

In silence I have found the friend that I am to the world

No matter where we leave it

I can always pick up where we left off
