I’m going to hide
Turn off my phone
Close the screen
I grab his leash
Into the woods
The absence of my phone begins to fade
The further away I get, the less I care who’s calling
I’m in the now
Before I would worry and run home
Now I can careless
The messages will still be there when I get back
And if not, oh well
I wish I was more like my dog
All he cares for is our adventures
He is trotting along so freely
Such a simple life
I finally get the saying
A dog’s life for me…
