The bear listened to the crow
As the crow told the story of time
It recounted the birth of the stars
The creation of the sky, land and sea
How the creatures came to be
The bear shared what he had learned with the rest of the forest
On the first full moon the crow returned to retell the story
This time it was to an audience of the whole forest
Once she finished the story, the crow flew away
Then came the snake
He asked if they weren’t there
How do they know it was true
The beginning of doubt and fear came to be
That’s when the world started doubting those who bring ideas
And trusting those who bring doubt
Beware of the snakes
They questions your dreams to death
And leave you with only uncertainty
