Keep to myself

Alienated from the social world

Those who believe the party will never end

Or maybe they are too afraid to think of the party ending

When the lights come up and your world is revealed

No longer able to hide the shortcomings in the darkness

See everyone scatter all around

Never making eye contact

Hysteria runs rampant

Insecurities are high among the weak minded

From these people I chose to stay away

Nothing to be gained and everything to be lost

I won’t force myself to partake with fakes

I continue my own course with no regards for their distractions

I isolate myself from the world

That way I only find myself among good company
