One Way Or Another

It’s harder than I thought it would be

I only planned for what I could think of

Life thought of many more things than I did

I won’t look at this fall as a defeat

It’s a lesson I will take into the next round

I’m not down nor am I out

I’ve gotten back up many times before

This time is no different

I have found strength in my defeats

As the punches kept coming

Maybe I’m a glutton for pain, but I’ve found that the punches sting less

I could’ve chosen to stay down or take a break

Found that wasn’t for me

I found a way to get up

I had a reason to take another shot

Take another hit

I made it my only choice to keep going

I will continue to get up

To find the drive to push forward

One way or another I won’t give up
