Foreigner Aboard

They will hate me

Not understand the way I think

Laugh at my beliefs

Judge my looks

Mock my speech

Stare at me till I look away from false guilt

Talk about me underneath their breath

Watch me from a distance to see what I will do

Blame me for all the problems in their world

Hate that fact I exist

They would rather take away my human rights

Than ever try to respect me

Bump into me because I don’t exist to them

I feel their looks burning holes on my back

They way they describe us to their children

Another generation that will soon hate us

The life of an immigrant

Is the life I have come to know
