Stranger At Home

Utterly out of place

Not from these lands

A stranger among these people

Traditions that are foreign to me

Ideals that I can’t adopt

Believes that I care not to have

Even the  jokes appear to be not for me

I look like them on the outside

That’s where the similarities end

A stranger of this my homeland

The air very distinct and unfamiliar

Find myself facing West

Looking over the mountains

Being called towards that direction

I’ve hit a wall living here

If I left now what would I take

Nothing is the answer

I walk toward the West

To a place more familiar to me
