On That Day

Don’t know if I will be ready

Still so much to do

I haven’t trained as hard as I wanted too

Haven’t read nearly enough books

Or traveled as much as I wanted too

Not even seen all the recommended films

Not close to trying every whiskey in the world

So many more trips with the family I want to take

Tattoos designs that I have to get inked

Many more sunrises on new horizons to see

Many more kisses to give my wife

So many more hugs to give my children

Have so many more jokes to share with my friends

Can’t even imagine how many more pictures I have left to post

All I know for sure is that when my day comes

When death is here to take me

I won’t even be close to ready to leave

Since I don’t know when she’s coming

I have only one choice

Get busy living
