We ache to speak
Needing our voice to be heard
Our minds wanting to be vocalized
Too often we are silenced
The worst is when the oppressor is us
We censor ourselves instead of setting us free
Don’t listen to the crowds who try to control our voice
We second-guess what we say
In doubting ourselves, our moment passes
Better to speak your mind off the top of your head
Then take the time to find the right words
In which we lose the meaning of our message
True words aren’t grammarly correct
Rather brutally honest
Speak brutal words, don’t bite your tongue
Let your words bite the listener
Don’t whisper but yell
Make silence absent from your speech
Be heard, never repress your voice
Censored words are the messages you were never meant to say
Say what you meant too
