Mind numb from the mild fever
Scorching eyeballs
Head is pounding with every beat of my chest
Body aches all over
Muscles sore from nothing
Tired and fighting to stay awake
Feeling cold to the touch
But really burning up inside
Even my hair hurts from the headaches
My nose raw to the touch
Lungs tried of being beat against my ribs
Kidneys in pain
Lips are cracking
Endless thirst
In case you haven’t figured it out
I’m sick and tired
But mostly sick
Some New Year’s start better than others
Now for rest
I will slip into my coma
